A portion is between three to four ounces and is about the size of a deck of cards. You can have as many steamed veggies and salad with no fat dressing, as you’d like.

2. Exercise at least 15 minutes three times a day, once in the morning, once at lunch, and once late afternoon. The exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous, brisk walking, or going up and down stairs is fine. Besides burning up about 100 calories, exercise boosts your metabolism 10 � 15% for about three to four hours afterwards. If you exercise three times a day you’ve just increased the rate at which you burn calories for nearly the entire day.

Combine fruits and vegetables for salads. If you’re worried about protein, you can add a handful of nuts to your diet.
